The weather looked great for Deidre and Alan’s wedding in Musselburgh last month. Unfortunately, I omitted to check the wind strength for later in the day! We started with a blue sky, and it was actually quite warm in the sun. But by the time we ended up on the beach for some relaxed portraits of the two of them, a howling, freezing, gale had started. Deidre’s dress began acting like an unruly sail (she’d already abandoned her veil!) and Alan did his best not to get wrapped in it! After a very brief session on the beach we returned to the warmth of The Quay and it’s welcoming atmosphere. It was a wonderful day, with Deidre’s two daughters and Alan’s two neices among the bridesmaids, and a starring role given to a very photogenic flower girl!
